Notification of regulatory approval and
market release for a High-Pressure PTCA balloon catheter (Lacrosse) |

Goodman has received regulatory approval on December
7 for the high-pressure type (Powered Lacrosse) PTCA balloon catheter (product
name: Lacrosse PTCA balloon catheter), with sales to commence from January,
2008. |

In addition to the normal type PTCA balloon
(Lacrosse) that commenced sales in March, 2006, the introduction to the market
of the high-pressure type PTCA balloon catheter (Powered Lacrosse) is expected
to ensure a large scale increase in sales for Lacrosse, having received a high
level of support from the medical community and resulting in a favorable
increase in sales of Lacrosse since initial commercial launch. |

A growth in market share for cases that require high inflation pressure
is expected as Powered Lacrosse offers a balloon section now able to support
high inflation pressures, while maintaining the fundamental functionality
of Lacrosse (renown for the highly acclaimed dimensions of flexibility,
crossability and handling of the PTCA balloon catheter). It is estimated
that the high-pressure type catheter currently accounts for a 40% share
of the PTCA balloon market. |

The approval for Powered Lacrosse was in accordance
with initial financial plans and is not expected to affect the earnings forecast. |
